Q. How can I only enter my first name?
A. Put a space (using the space bar) in the last name - Q. Why can't I bet money here?
A. Right now, gambling with money is illegal. If it becomes legal in all US states, we will look into non-friendly wagering. -
Q. Why does it say page not found when I try to search?
A. Google suspended our account most likely due to a user clicking too many times on ads., maybe too close in time. This was completely out of our hands and unexpected. Google is vague in their response (probably a form response sent out by an email server, not a person) and thinks it is dangerous to their advertisers for us to search. So, we move on, forget about google, and will be adding a new customized search shortly. Note that we now have in place a new search company and are waiting for the code to be added (5/27/08). Still waiting 7/1/2008. - Q. How do I submit a personal question?
A. Use the contact us link at the bottom of the page and we will answer your question. -
Q. How can I get certain wager events or categories added?
A. You can do that from a group. or just contact us and if your suggestion is appropriate, we will add it to the general list. -
Q. Will you be adding college football and basketball.
A. You know it! -
Q. What about the random prize giveaways?
A. These will be implemented in the next couple of months. These will all be cash prizes. The more you use the site, the more additional entries you will receive. Also, to win the daily prize, you must have logged in that day. We will post the winner on the home page and eventually send everyone online a message. -
Q. Does the winner of the mybetpets and mybetband win anything?
A. First, the winners receive publicity by being posted as a winner (for a week, month or year). Second, we will be introducing our PPV (pay-per-vote) prizes for the winners. The more votes, the more cash the winner will win! -
Q. Why do some of the ads appear as blanks?
A. This is either your browser settings or firewall settings. -
Q. How do I get to the MyBetPet and MyBetBand pages?
A. We incorporated a link on the home page. Click on mybetpet winners or mybetband winners. Also, when logged in, you can click on Vote for mybetpet or mybetband and the pages will open. -
Q. Some things don't show up (red X) with Internet Explorer version 6+ and other issues.
A. Download the latest version 7.0 of MS I.E. atIf you have service pack 3, enter service pack 2 for download (even if you have Vista). Once downloading, the s/w will check for further updates. -
Q. My Player has an error message. Why might this be happening?
A. The most common reason this occurs has to do with Internet Explorer 7's security and privacy features. Our player requires the user to download ActiveX content from an external source and for javscript to be active within the player context. For this reason, we recommend not only having the latest Adobe Flash Player, but also setting your security settings to Medium High. -
Q. Can I use Dizzer while I navigate?
A. At the moment, we implemented a Dizzer button on your profile page. Click on that and a new window will pop open. You can play your music and navigate through your MBP window. -
Q. I receive a message the feed failed....
A. Reload the page. -
Q. If I want to buy something from one of the ads., do I get a discount?
A. Many of our advertisers offer discounts to our visitors. Stop and check out the text links for various advertisers. -
Q. Why are the wager events not updated to be current?
A. Will be starting in July 2008 as we have staff to handle this now. -
Q. I get an error when trying to login and the login box never drops. Is this being fixed?
A. Yes. There are a few minor java errors causing the program to think the page s still loading. The login box is "hardwired" down currently while the problem is being fixed. (6/24/08). -
Q. When I click on an article from a feed, how can I get the article to open in a new window?
A. Right click on the article and select open in new window. -
Q. Why does the weather show Corona, CA?
A. That is the city we chose. Click on the weather and you can enter your zip for your City.
